Are you using Twitter to find answers? Twitter is an interesting way to find answers to your questions. I think that was actually the original intent of the network.... that you would ask your question in an open forum and get a lot of great feedback from a diverse mix of peers. However, most of us users seem to use Twitter less as a mode of inquiry than as a soapbox for our personal monologue.
Try asking a question of the Twitter universe... its fun, and weird. If you look around you'll see people are asking questions like "what's the best way to..." or "how can I...". Question:
Is Twitter akin to a super computer that is slowly linking up all the minds on the planet and using them as a multi-processors? I recently read a great post by John Battell comparing Twitter to the start Trek ship's computer. A computer in the ether that could reply to any plain language question the captain may ask. But is the ship's computer the best Star Trek analogy? How about the Borg collective? A constant chatter of billions of voices that gave the members comfort, guidance etc. etc. Definitely a more sinister comparison. Which do you think is the best fit.
